Observations!

*

Concerning the prosperity teaching in North America, such proclaimers have started at the wrong end instead of seeking FIRST the kingdom of God, they are more focused on "and all the other things shall be added unto you." Thus... having pulled the Scripture apart, deceiving themselves and others.

The promises of God don't work that way. If God's word teaches "Abide in Me and I will abide in You", one cannot turn this around and checking out if God will abide in them so perhaps they may abide in Him (at some point).

What on earth are such "modern" believers thinking? They have created their own convenient way of "christianity" and will soon fall into their own trap.
We need to stick with God's word 100% or we become losers at the end by the deception we have created ourselves.

Are the servants more than their Master? Of course not. Such kind of teachings opens the door wide for the anti-christ to walk right in and take over.

Seek Ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33

A man said once: "I HAVE NEVER LET MY DUTIES TO GOD INTERFERE WITH MY PLEASURES."
This statement shows that his "pleasures" have come first in his life, rather than God to be first; placing his duties to God as secondary.

If one really loves God, realizing that the Father saved their soul at the COST of His only Son, they should gladly give up the pleasures of this world, which interferes with serving God.

Pleasures of this world are short lived and will soon pass away, but our service to God has a LASTING effect.

This man will be suffering due to his wrong choice, if he does not change the direction in which he is going.

Proverbs 21:17...
He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.

2 Timothy 3:4.... lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

1 Timothy 5:6... But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.

Proverbs 19:3... The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD.

In what or whom have you put your trust?

Our trust is not in Luck, Stars, Coins, Horoscopes... what have you! We don't rely on superstition, but on the trustworthiness and faithfulness of our God and Lord.
Our trust is in God, Who is reliable and just. Amen!

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and His ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. 1 Peter 3:12

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16b

And whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. 1 John 3:22

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Philippians 4:6

And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in My name, I will do it. John 14:13,14

A believer in Christ can only serve/love Him. NOT both, this world and Christ.

Doesn't the old hymn goes... I have decided to follow Jesus, I have decided to follow Jesus, No turning back... No turning back...

But we see MANY turning back to "Egypt" and have become "religious" instead. How else can it be??

...know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. James 4:4b

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 1 John 2:15,16

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2

God is so loving that He sent His only begotten Son, NOT to be rejected but to be accepted as Savior. The Sacrifice was too LARGE to allow scorners to get through the maze. Also, Jesus says: Not they that say Lord, Lord, but they that DO THE WILL OF MY FATHER.

So, even hypocritical religious persons could not enter into the Kingdom of God. Hell is for those that chose themselves not to be in the presence of God, His Son and the Holy Spirit.

And ye have not His word abiding in you: for whom He hath sent, Him ye believe not. John 5:38

But he that denieth Me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. Luke 12:9

...how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! Luke 13:33b
