Balanced in God!

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing. John 15:5

You and I need balance in our life. In the physical and the natural world we must look after ourselves, and take good care of our body. We should eat vegetables, fruits, grains, eggs, fish etc. We should be appropriately dressed, according to the temperature around us. Usually we stay indoors to prepare meals, to rest, to sleep and to be safe in extreme weather conditions. The outdoors is very important as to get fresh air, to enjoy the sunshine and taking walks for exercise. This all helps us to stay happy, healthy and in good balance.

The most important part is your spiritual life; the real "you"; the condition of your soul. At some point in time we will die and face eternity. Therefore, we should make sure to prepare ourselves while we're alive, and be in good spiritual "balance".

Spiritual food for the Christian is The WORD, which is Jesus.
Doesn't He say: "Eat My flesh and drink My blood?" This is the BALANCE which Jesus is speaking about and referring to. It shows the closest relationship one can have with Jesus Christ.

In the spiritual world the balance does not mean "half of this and half of that" or "part this and part that" or some sort of MIX. You're rather in balance in/with God or in balance of deceit, either one.

My kingdom is not of this world. John 18:36a

The Christian Spiritual world is the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. The Three in ONE. We don't mix the world and the Trinity to get a balance.
We don't mix earthly convenience with the things of God, because this will cause IMBALANCE.

The believer, and follower of Christ, is in PERFECT balance when he/she walks in obedience unto His word and His revelation. The one who is out of Spiritual balance is the one who seeks to MIX.

God's balance lies in the words which Jesus spoke: "Abide in Me, and I in you." and "Not they that say Lord, Lord, but they that do the will of my Father."

We are the branches and He is the Vine. Our perfect balance then is depending upon Him alone, because He feeds us and He carries us. Our life-blood comes from the Vine and our support is the Vine.

For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. Romans 11:16

Keeping Clear of this World

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Colossians 3:1,2

Greetings in Jesus awesome name.

I would like to share our family's experience regarding TV and movies watching.
I came from an inventor's family, and many years ago my father (a genius) developed/invented major parts to convey images etc. as for TV. This was in the old country in Europe. He spearheaded TV as we know it today.

I remember seeing images etc. on a radar tube, due to lack of TV tube. Now you'll know that I speak of past times of over 1/2 a century ago. We had a family of 9 and we as children were very ambitious, to say the least. Soon the TV ruled our family life and watching TV programs stole our free time. As children, we felt cheated.

Some years later the Lord saved my soul.
When I got married, my husband and I decided not to have a TV in our home. We raised four beautiful children without TV or movies. These children became the most happy, innovative, creative and smart kids, one wishes to have.

Lead me in Thy truth, and teach me: for Thou art the God of my salvation; on Thee do I wait all the day. Psalm 25:5

In Difficult Times

Although this life may not always be comfortable nor pleasant, we have a heavenly Father we can depend on. When everything fails around us, He will see us through. Amen!

Daniel and his friends, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, although in exile, stayed loyal to the Lord. Daniel even denied the "good" food provided by the king. His wisdom to reveal the meaning of the king's dream, provides an opportunity to rely even more on the Lord. The king marveled at the greatness of the God of Daniel.

The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret. Daniel 2:47

Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego had the experience of a life time, they arrived at a crisis... in the hot flames, the fiery furnace. They received deliverance through a manifestation of the Lord.

The result was far more than they ever could have dreamed. The Name of the Lord was glorified amongst ALL that were present. They may have been singing the psalm below.

In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul. Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law? They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood. But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge. Psalm 94:19-22

Daniel had been serving the Lord for a long time, praying three times per day. Then the "laws" demanded no prayers for a certain length of time. Well, Daniel thought, I'm praying anyways, the Lord will keep me. With windows open and a loud voice, Daniel continued to pray three times per day, as written in Daniel 6:10,11
We all know the story, Daniel ended up in the lions' den. What a mistake! Was God failing Daniel?
Not at all.

Daniel was sustained by his faith in the Lord. The Lord rescued him. Daniel did have a definite purpose in that lions' den. In the deepest point of his life the Lord met Daniel. These men are the proof that in freedom or in exile faith in the Lord can be kept and that we don't have to follow the world, nor bow down for kings. With God's help His standards can be maintained.

With selfdiscipline, humbleness, courage and faith in God we can do the impossible and reach the unreachable.

Seek God while He still can be found.

Leave the World Behind

Old things are passed away; behold all things have become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17

I have one bit of Godly advice for you: NEVER brood upon your past, but turn your eyes upon Jesus and look full in His wonderful face. And the things of this old world will grow strangely dim, in the LIGHT of His Glory and Grace.

Whom the Son set free is free indeed. As born-again believer, you can/should shake off the past and all misery attached to it. Don't even repeat detail of the past in written or spoken form. Leave the world behind and follow Jesus!

God's word teaches something better; secrets of His word are to be found in His word.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on THESE things. Philippians 4:8

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. Psalm 37:4-5

God's word is the POWER for each believer, but we must use it in all situations and apply it to our lives.

Meditate upon His word and it will become life to your soul.

"EAT" it and you will never hunger again.

"DRINK" and your thurst will be quenched.

GO AND GET IT!

Look Not at Their Prosperity

But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
Psalm 73:2,3

I'm sure you've been there; you nearly fell flat on your face. You've wondered how the wicked and ungodly people get by. Some of them do even quite well! The arrogant raise their loud voice against God, thinking that He wouldn't know their ways.

There are ungodly who prosper and increase their riches. You may wonder how come they outdo you with their possessions. You may even become jealous, because you are struggling to survive, while they have plenty.

Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. Psalm 73:17

Focus on the Lord and keep your eyes off man and you'll soon realize what the end of the ungodly will be. Of course it is foolish to think that the ungodly are to be envied. Their wealth doesn't last. But they that have stored up treasures in Heaven are wise. Returning to the counsel of God will provide understanding and bring us in the right perspective.

Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but Thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside Thee. Psalm 73:24,25

We fail and come short of the glory of God, but He is our strength and lifts us up. The ungodly shall perish with their riches, but they that trust God will receive glory.

How good it is to meditate upon the mercy of God and to thank Him for His care for His children.

But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all Thy works. Psalm 73:28
