Prayer Request

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Matthew 21:22

Prayer request by "Songbird4Him"

I am needing prayer more than ever in my life before. My husband was just recently diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer and his prognosis isn't good. We have a daughter who just turned 14 yesterday and things are very hard for us right now.

We truly need a miracle to take place and I believe that God is still performing them. My husband also needs prayer for salvation, for he doesn't quite understand our faith yet. Thank you for all your prayers and God bless!

Dear "Songbird4Him",

Blessings to you through Christ.

I will join all who read your request and bring this to the Lord in prayer.

One specific comment I wish to make is that through all this your husband may be drawn to Christ, and see the need for the Savior. That he will cry out to God, confess his sins, repent and ask Christ into His life so at least his soul will be saved.
The Father will do the rest. I pray also wisdom for you to lead your husband to Christ.

Concerning your husband's affliction, you have to keep in mind that diagnoses made by doctors are only names of the particular illness, but by God this is only an infirmity in the body for which Jesus Christ died, as He did for our sins which we can read in the following Scripture.

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we ARE healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD HATH LAID on Him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 53:5,6

As you can read in the above Scripture... "IT IS FULFILLED ALREADY". Salvation and Healing have been accomplished through the death and resurrection of God's Son, Jesus Christ. It is up to us to grab it by faith. One needs to ACT upon God's word. This means reminding the Father of His own Word and Promises, through prayer and professing. By doing so one shows FAITH, which pleases Him. Nothing can be done without faith.

But satan has used names of sicknesses to scare people off and drive them to hopelessness. This is one of his lies.

With God their is HOPE!! For this you need FAITH!

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

Wouldn't it be wonderful if your husband accepts Christ and be healed also, according to God's word.

There is power in UNITY, and again together with others I bring you, your husband and daughter before the throne of God, reminding Him of His promises through the finished work of Christ, to release the power of the Holy Spirit for salvation and healing for body, soul and spirit.

AMEN AND AMEN!!

In the service of the Master and for His glory,

Minister Dr. Trudy Veerman

PLEASE... Stand with us in prayer, believing that God will take charge of the situation.

Purge me!

*

Thank God we have been cleansed by the Blood of Jesus, the Christ. We did as David did in Psalm 51:1-17... confessing our sins and meditating upon His word.

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of Thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

Against Thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in Thy sight: that Thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when Thou judgest.

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Behold, Thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part Thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which Thou hast broken may rejoice.

Hide Thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Cast me not away from Thy presence; and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.

Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with Thy free spirit.

Then will I teach transgressors Thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto Thee.

Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, Thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of Thy righteousness.

O Lord, open Thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth Thy praise.

For Thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: Thou delightest not in burnt offering.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise.

So easily one skimps over the Word of God, but when taken time and meditating upon His word He will open our eyes and heart to receive that which is so important for all of us to know and understand.

Please, allow the Lord to speak to your soul and heart and you will experience the touch of the Master. He desires so much to have fellowship with His children, more so than we do with our natural children. I promise, it is worthwhile to spend quality time with God.

In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength... Isaiah 30:15b

Blessed are all they that wait for Him. Isaiah 30:18b

Go therefore in the Peace of God,

Minister Dr. Trudy Veerman

Seeing Jesus through different eyes!

How do people perceive Jesus Christ?

Without faith in God, one sees Christ with the natural eye, as a man who failed to become a "king", and who died as a criminal. They lack understanding since they are not led by the Holy Spirit, and only respond through their senses.

Their decisions are made by the influence of this world and the "ruler" of the world, the oppressor, satan himself. They are blind and therefore don't recognize this "force". To them, Jesus is unattractive, not desirable, run of the mill... as described in Isaiah Chapter 53.

He hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him....

He is despised and rejected of men;...

esteemed him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted....

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, ...

and made his grave with the wicked...

Without faith they think they do not need Jesus Christ and can manage their own life/business. Perhaps they could, to a point. Just see how they manage after a serious accident or a paralizing illness. All their big talk will soon fade away when trouble enters their door.

Some even think that a Christian believes in a fairy tale, needs a crutch to lean on and therefore trusts Jesus Christ as the Savior. We know better!!

Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. John 20:29b

What a privilege to have received Christ, by our response to the convicting power of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Our decisions are made through the influence of the Holy Spirit, as we allow Him to lead us. We are serving the Savior, not a "tyrant".

Through eyes of faith we see Christ as:

The Only Begotten Son of God, The Conqueror over satan, sin and death,

The Deliverer of mankind and the Saviour of souls.

The Bright Morning Star, our Glorious Savior, The Lamb of God,
The Counselor, the King of kings, Lord of lords, our Shepherd,
The Word, Son of man and Son of God, The Master,
the Lily of the Valley, The Resurrection and the Life,
The Prince of Peace, Wonderful, the Mighty God,
the Everlasting Father, The First born of many brethren,

just to name a few.

For mine eyes have seen Thy salvation, wich Thou hast prepared before the face of all people; Luke 2:30,31

Jesus Christ, the Son of God
calms the sea and stills the storm, He raised up the little girl from her death bed, touched the blind eyes to see, forgave the sins of the prostitute, and looked down from the cross and prayed: "Father forgive them for they don't know what they do."

Through spiritual eyes of faith we recognize Christ as described in Psalm 72:11-15, 17

Yea, all kings shall fall down before Him: all nations shall serve Him.

For He shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.

He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.

He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in His sight.

And He shall live, and to Him shall be given of the gold of Sheba:
prayer also shall be made for Him continually; and daily shall He be praised.

His name shall endure for ever: His name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in Him: all nations shall call Him blessed.

Jesus says: I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. Revelation 22:13,14

AMEN AND AMEN!

Writing
all the above makes me leap for joy.

Praise His name for ever!

Why are so many dissatisfied?

*

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for My sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Mark 8:35,36

I remember some of the paintings my parents had hanging on the living room wall, when I was a little girl. I could look at some, seeing more than what was in the picture, allowing my imagination to go beyond the frame.

I longed to be there in the scenery which the painting did depict. I was homesick for something I didn't know. I even dreamed about being at these places.

Without realizing I was searching for something "divine"; a safe place to live; a quiet harbor to anchor my boat; a peaceful meadow to lie down; a high hill to view the colourful surroundings; an island all for myself...

I have many paintings of seasonal sceneries on our walls and still looking beyond its borders. But I know much better now since I have Christ in my life. I am not searching any longer since I found all that I need in Christ Jesus.

Many are seeking "LIFE" outside of Christ. Even believers may have one foot in this world and trying to cram the other one between heaven's door.

Followers of Christ Jesus are suppose to overcome this world, NOT being part of it. No wonder so many are depressed and confused, because the Kingdom of God doesn't work like this. What happened to the song they used to sing: "All to Jesus I surrender, ALL to Him I freely give....?"

Only in Christ can one be satisfied. All the things of this world are temporary and short lived.

People who desire to be satisfied with the things of this world are to be pitied, because they will keep on seeking and not find it. The one thing after the other will disappoint.
New car, new house, another partner, cruise around the world, riches etc. etc... will rust, leak, get old, discolour and become boring...

Mankind was created to serve the Creator, and as long as this rule is not followed/applied first, all other things will bring dissatisfaction, discontentment, displacement, disagreement, discomfort, discouragement, distress, distortion, disunity, disgrace, displeasure and a lot more negative things.

The wisdom lies in the following scriptures.

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Colossians 3:1,2

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
1 John 2:15,16

He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. Matthew 13:22

He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. John 12:25

Let the name of the Lord be praised!

In Christ,

LIFE'S TUMBLE MACHINE

*
Are you tumbling?

Dear Friend,

One of the things we like to do is to walk the beach. Believe it or not, we do not do it for exercise, but to look for beach glass. Some call it sea glass.

What is beach glass? Well, obviously it is small pieces of glass found on the shore. Usually found in gravel on the beach they are of a variety of colors. For example, green would be from glass coke bottles, brown from beer bottles, white from Pepsi Cola, etc. There are many colors from various glass objects, like cups, dishes, etc. Here is a collected assortment.

For some of you who are not "with me" in this illustration, let me explain. Beach glass originates from bottles or glass ware. When one throws a bottle overboard it naturally sinks to the bottom right? In time it gets broken by the rough waters created by storms. As it rolls back and forth on the ocean floor it breaks up more...and by rolling back and forth over years it is finally deposited on the shore.

One asked, "What makes the glass so beautiful?" Well the answer, of course, is the abrasives of the sand, rocks... in other words, the constant tumbling.

So, my friend in your life there has been and no doubt is abrasives. These abrasives come through people and things and circumstances. They have a way of transforming people, believe it or not.

Pain, suffering, various hardships are not really asked for, nor wanted, but they are a part of life. You may be passing through "life's refining tumbler" now.

Remember even in it, "God is our refuge, a very present help in trouble." (Psa. 9:9)

So, my prayer for you, my on-line reader, is:

Lord, I ask that this one truly know Your presence in perhaps a most difficult time. May they have faith further to know that when such passes, they will come forth beautiful, just as the polished glass tossed upon the shore. Through it all may they learn to trust You and to know You are making something beautiful out of it all.

In Jesus' name.

Amen!

Reasons to give THANKS!

"THANKSGIVING"
Dear Friend,

Peace be unto you in the name of our Lord.

Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place: Exodus 13:3

You may wonder why the above scripture? Didn't the Lord set you free from bondage, brought you up from the miry clay and took you out of the slimy pit of sin and darkness? THEREFORE, REMEMBER THIS DAY and give thanks always.

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto Thy name, O most High: To shew forth Thy lovingkindness in the morning, and Thy faithfulness every night, Psalm 92:1,2

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Yes, you read that correctly.... in every thing give thanks... NOT in some thing.

In Canada we will be celebrating THANKSGIVING this coming weekend. Really, thanksgiving is an every day afair and not just once a year.

O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto Thee for ever. Psalm 30:12b

Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon His name, make known His deeds among the people. Sing unto Him, sing psalms unto Him, talk ye of all His wondrous works. 1 Chron. 16:8,9

If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy..

And if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity.

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness... you are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day.

If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation... you are ahead of 700 million people in the world.

If you can attend a church without the fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death you are envied by, and more blessed than, three billion people in the world.

If your parents are still alive and still married... you are very rare.

If you have children or friends who still love you... call yourself blessed, because there is much hate around. Some children or "friends" have even murdered those they should've loved.

If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you're unique to all those in doubt and despair.

Ok, what now? How can I start?

If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you as very special and you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all.

If you have peace and joy in your soul, knowing that your sins are forgiven by Christ Jesus, and that you're on your way to heaven, you have indeed ALL reason to give thanks to the Father, who sent His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

I pray you realize how "special" you are in the eyes of God, that He purchased you at the cost of His own Son. Knowing that millions have rejected this "Gift", and thousands upon thousands haven't heard this "good news", should make you jump for joy and thanksgiving. Right? RIGHT!

I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving. Psalm 69:30

Give unto the LORD the glory due unto His name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. Psalm 29:2

Have a good day, count your blessings, and if you want, pass this along to remind everyone else how blessed we all are.

Thank you Lord, for giving me the ability to share this message and for giving me so many wonderful people to share it with. AMEN!

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. Psalm 23:6

To God belongs the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory, forever.
