Walk in Newness of Life

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. Matthew 16:24,25

We all come to a CROSS ROAD in our life, sooner or later.

It is only through the infilling of the Holy Spirit that one can submit to the requirement of denying the flesh; putting down the old desires, the old way of life, the old patterns that were established before conversion. Take up your cross means then to carry an instrument to crucify "oneself" upon. This does not mean that you have to carry some heavy burden. Taking up your cross reflects bringing to death the flesh.

Ours is the daily sacrifice of the sinful self on the cross of Christ. Romans 12:1

Through the power of the Holy Spirit we can conquer the old nature and live pleasing unto the Father. It is the Holy Spirit who did draw us to the Father, through Christ. The Holy Spirit convicts of sin. He will finish that which he has started in us (if we let Him too).

Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16

Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. John 6:53

He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. John 12:25

Be blessed in Christ.

I Wish You Enough

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1

Recently I overheard a Father and daughter in their last moments together at the airport. They had announced the departure of her plane.

Standing near the security gate, they hugged and the Father said, "I love you, and I wish you enough." The daughter replied, "Dad, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Dad."

They kissed and the daughter left. The Father walked over to the window where I was seated. Standing there I could see he wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on his privacy, but he welcomed me in by asking, "Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?"
"Yes, I have," I replied. "Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?"

"I am old, and she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is - the next trip back will be for my funeral," he said.
"When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, "I wish you enough." May I ask what that means?

He began to smile. "That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone..." He paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail, and he smiled even more. When we said, "I wish you enough, we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them." Then turning toward me, he shared the following as if he were reciting it from memory.

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how grey the day may appear.

I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.

I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting..

I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.

I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.

I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.

I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.

He then began to cry and walked away.

Exhort one another...

We believe that this world is only in the beginnings of the "pains" of what the USA and other countries are going through. They have forsaken the Lord all together, don't want God involved in their affairs. Thus, will be taken over by the "heathens" who so carelessly were given entree into the land.

Sin is rampant and allowed by government leaders, so what do we expect?
People may say, "Let's take America back." I tell you in the name of the Lord, they never will be able to, until they totally turn away from their wickedness. I'm afraid they've let it go too far, and satan has been given full swing. Evil has become their leader. The endtimes are here, according to God's word.

Thank God, we are in Christ and have entered the "Ark", closed the door behind us, and so we shall be SAFE. Followers of Christ don't have to fear what comes over the nations, we are in His hands. AMEN!!

Be encouraged, I say, and PRAISE GOD EVEN MORE, since He dwells in the praises of His children. Whatever happens, if we go through the fire or end up in the lion's den, we shall see His hand moving and His glory appearing in times of need.
Praise His wonderful name!

Exhort one another daily, while it is called TODAY... Hebrews 3:13

JESUS IS YOUR FRIEND!

Turn not aside from following the Lord. 1 Samuel 12:20

When you feel lonely... remember, you're never alone.

When you are down... Jesus will lift you up.
If you're sad... let the Holy Spirit comfort you.
When all seems out of control... Let God handle your business.
If you've been deceived... find TRUTH in His word.
Walk in the stillness of His presence and experience the touch of the Master.
NOW, GO IN PEACE ♥

Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God; 1 Chronicles 22:19

With my soul have I desired Thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek Thee early: Isaiah 26:9a

In the STILLNESS

"My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him." Psalm 62:5

To be in SILENCE is so important if one desires to meet God. It is AWESOME. And then to know that we will see Him face to face! HALLELUJAH!

We have experienced the simple life with Christ without the "support" of books or philosophy of man. We live part secluded, far away from the big cities, NO influence of TV, no loud worldly music, in the stillness of His presence we raised our four children.

We walked hand in hand with Jesus in our fields and woods, nature all around. Had the most glorious experience to be with Him alone and see great miracles and healings in our own family life.

God is a God of symplicity, NOT of complexity.

I have described some of the above on my web page. Be blessed as you visit:
