WHAT IF. . .

Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we flipped through it several time a day?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to kids as gifts?

What if we used it when we traveled?

What if we used it in case of emergency?

This is something to make you go... hmm... where is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing.
Unlike your cell phone, you don't have to worry about your Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill. And no dropped calls!

Probably no one would steal it either.


A friend added to the above list: "Most people treat their Bible as if it stopped working because of dead batteries."

Makes you stop and think where your priorities are, doesn't it?

Observations!

Concerning the prosperity teaching in North America, such proclaimers have started at the wrong end instead of seeking FIRST the kingdom of God, they are more focused on "and all the other things shall be added unto you." Thus... having pulled the Scripture apart, deceiving themselves and others.

The promises of God don't work that way. If God's word teaches "Abide in Me and I will abide in You", one cannot turn this around and checking out if God will abide in them so perhaps they may abide in Him (at some point).

What on earth are such "modern" believers thinking? They have created their own convenient way of "christianity" and will soon fall into their own trap.
We need to stick with God's word 100% or we become losers at the end by the deception we have created ourselves.

Are the servants more than their Master? Of course not. Such kind of teachings opens the door wide for the anti-christ to walk right in and take over.


Seek Ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33

A man said once: "I HAVE NEVER LET MY DUTIES TO GOD INTERFERE WITH MY PLEASURES."
This statement shows that his "pleasures" have come first in his life, rather than God to be first; placing his duties to God as secondary.

If one really loves God, realizing that the Father saved their soul at the COST of His only Son, they should gladly give up the pleasures of this world, which interferes with serving God.

Pleasures of this world are short lived and will soon pass away, but our service to God has a LASTING effect.

This man will be suffering due to his wrong choice, if he does not change the direction in which he is going.

Proverbs 21:17...
He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.

2 Timothy 3:4.... lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

1 Timothy 5:6... But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.

Proverbs 19:3... The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD.

In what or whom have you put your trust?

Our trust is not in Luck, Stars, Coins, Horoscopes... what have you! We don't rely on superstition, but on the trustworthiness and faithfulness of our God and Lord.
Our trust is in God, Who is reliable and just. Amen!

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and His ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. 1 Peter 3:12

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16b

And whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. 1 John 3:22

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Philippians 4:6

And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in My name, I will do it. John 14:13,14

A believer in Christ can only serve/love Him. NOT both, this world and Christ.

Doesn't the old hymn goes... I have decided to follow Jesus, I have decided to follow Jesus, No turning back... No turning back...

But we see MANY turning back to "Egypt" and have become "religious" instead. How else can it be??

...know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. James 4:4b

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 1 John 2:15,16

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2

God is so loving that He sent His only begotten Son, NOT to be rejected but to be accepted as Savior. The Sacrifice was too LARGE to allow scorners to get through the maze. Also, Jesus says: Not they that say Lord, Lord, but they that DO THE WILL OF MY FATHER.

So, even hypocritical religious persons could not enter into the Kingdom of God. Hell is for those that chose themselves not to be in the presence of God, His Son and the Holy Spirit.

And ye have not His word abiding in you: for whom He hath sent, Him ye believe not. John 5:38

But he that denieth Me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. Luke 12:9


...how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! Luke 13:33b

How do you see Christ?

Without faith, one sees Christ with the natural eye, as being a man who failed to become a "king", and who died as a criminal... To them, Jesus is unattractive, not desirable, run of the mill... as described in Isaiah Chapter 53:

He hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him....

He is despised and rejected of men;...

esteemed him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted....

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, ... and made his grave with the wicked...

Through eyes of faith we see Christ as:

The Only Begotten Son of God, The Conqueror over satan, sin and death,
The Deliverer of mankind and the Saviour of souls.
The Bright and Morning Star, our Glorious Savior, The Lamb of God,
The Counselor, the King of kings, Lord of lords, our Shepherd,
The Word, Son of man and Son of God, The Master,
The Lily of the Valley, The Resurrection and the Life,
The Prince of Peace, Wonderful, the Mighty God,
The Everlasting Father, The First born of many brethren,

With spiritual eyes of faith we know Christ as described in Psalm 72:11-15, 17:

Yea, all kings shall fall down before Him:
all nations shall serve Him.
For He shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also,
and him that hath no helper.
He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.
He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence:
and precious shall their blood be in His sight.
And He shall live, and to Him shall be given of the gold of Sheba:
prayer also shall be made for Him continually; and daily shall He be praised.

His name shall endure for ever: His name shall be continued
as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in Him: all nations shall call Him blessed.


The above scripture makes me leap for joy! Praise His AWESOME name.

Does one need Salvation?

*
Some may think they don't need to be saved from sin, through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.


A person may believe he is alright because he attends church, or he has not committed murder, theft, adultery... the visible sins. He may not realize that he has hidden sins not known unto others, but known unto God.

God's word says:
...a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, Galatians 2:16

One's life may be smooth without much turmoil, therefore not feeling the need for salvation, thinking that he is not a sinner.

The scriptures teaches:
All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. Romans 3:23

Perhaps some may have never heard the truth being preached, but just lulled to sleep.

God's word says:
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

You may know the above and not want to be brought under conviction. Salvation brings also its consequences of cleaning up one's life and forsake sin... leaving the world behind.

One may not want to give this up, or straight forward rejecting the Gospel. But without salvation in Christ, nobody will enter the Kingdom of heaven. This means that hell is the place for the degenerated/unconverted soul.

God loves mankind and does not want that anyone perishes, nevertheless many perish. Does this mean that God sends souls to hell? Definitely NOT! He gives mankind the choice.

God's word says:
"And ye have not His word abiding in you: for whom He hath sent, Him ye believe not." John 5:38

Salvation means accepting the Sacrifice made by Jesus Christ, for our sins; the sacrifice of "self"; surrending a sin-sick life unto God; turning our back to the world and follow in the footsteps of Christ.

It may not be a question of "not knowing this" but "not wanting it".

The choice needs to be made by each one of us. It is either one; heaven or hell.

Be wise and choose you today Christ.

More Thoughts

The battle in the heavenly region.

Due to lack of wisdom and understanding concerning the battle against the powers of darkness in the heavenly region, many Christians allow themselves to be slapped around by satan himself.

Some do not recognize that satan uses people to distort God's word... to set people up against each other... to use weaknesses in the human nature to hurt, destroy and even kill others.

Yes, we should forgive them that sin against us, but we also should recognize if whatever is done against us is human error or instigated by satan to rip us apart.

Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities in the heavenly region.

And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also. Luke 6:29

Indeed, if one turns the other cheek to satan this is like becoming a subordinate of him, and defeats the purpose of standing in Victory for Christ.

Believers in Christ should be overcomers over sin and satan.


And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. Revelation 12:11

Changed... flesh to spirit... from worldliness to godliness... unholines to holiness... immodesty to modesty... pride to humility... uncleanliness to purity... haughtiness to humbleness... from self-esteem to esteeming others...


Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2

We need to be transformed in mind and heart, after which the transformation will be seen in our actions. Our moral and spiritual life needs to be fixed before we can take on the form of God. That which is broken must be healed first of all to enable us to lay down our old sinful life.

Who will understand this concept of "change", but they that have an ear and want to hear.

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. Colossians 3:1-3

I would like to add the following related scriptures and poem I wrote several years ago.

Luke 11:35... Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.

Matthew 6:22... The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.


Mirror of The Soul

The outer beauty of ourselves
Is just as deep as our skin
We may look fair or meager
But that which matters is within

Our eyes will look upon man
for all that on the outside we'll see
But when assessed on the inside
One may not meet up with what it should be

The mirror in which one views
Shows only the reflection of time
We may behold a "beauty"
Whose heart and soul don't rhyme

Our aim must be, in this present life
To reflect the Love of God
That we ourselves will not be seen
But Jesus be standing in our spot

So, please, have yet another look
In the mirror of your own heart
See if you're already fading away
Giving room to what is the Lord's part

For it will not do us any good
If our mirror doesn't reflect the Son
We don't have any strength nor beauty
Our own attractiveness must be gone

To love ourselves is carnal minded
Showing forth Him, to self we must die
That which we see won't last forever
It's the eternal "unseen" we cannot deny

Our beauty is only in Jesus Christ
While connected with the Father above
When willingly be His hand extended
The mirror will only show His love

2 Corinthians 6:10b...as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

2 Corinthians 4:18... While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Some Thoughts


*
Conditions such as hunger, poverty, cold and pain can make people curse God or seek Him.
People may begin to look inside of themselves and perhaps may realize that they cannot do much about it on their own. They will soon see that they need others to help them to overcome their situation/condition.

Circumstances in life may show our weaknesses and our strength and will teach us what actions can be taken.

There are many who don't pay attention to the opportunity presented and turn their backs on God.

My personal devastating circumstances in my early life brought me to my childhood prayer, and subsequently to the foot of the Cross where the Savior saved my soul.

In generaL, LIFE IS A TEACHER and we better be learning something, using God's word as our textbook, the Holy Spirit as our Guidance and Jesus Christ as our Example.

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 2 Peter 1:2

Everything that Jesus Christ has to offer us includes LIFE and that abundantly, Eternal Life, peace, grace, joy unspeakable, even angels to watch over us, and many many more benefits of the Kingdom of God.

It is indeed the BEST OF EVERYTHING. WHY would anyone turn Jesus Christ down?

Seek ye Me, and ye shall live: Amos 5:4b

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: Proverbs 1:7a

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the Righteous Judge, shall give me at that day. 2 Timothy 4:8a

Religion per-se is void, powerless, man ordained, satan inspired and presents only hollow sounds.

Therefore anyone bringing vain words of religion are lies of darkness.

There is only ONE true Religion of which promises will come true in the lives of the believers, which is to be found in God, the Father, His Son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

The above being on the condition of surrendering to Christ and following in His footsteps; abiding in Him.

Patient and Impatient

My husband has a saying which goes like this:

One that believes is not in a rush and they that are in a hurry don't believe.
Patience is a virtue.


And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: Romans 5:3,4


By being impatient one tends to make errors, may overlook important issues, may stumble. This is when a patient person will catch on what is not immediately obvious and picks up what an impatient person has left behind.

though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Hab 2:3b

Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. Psalm 33:20,21

Does following Christ means that we sacrifice much?

Being busy for and with the Kingdom of God is NO sacrifice, but GREAT JOY UNSPEAKABLE. We gladly sacrifice the things of this world.

What we have sacrificed to gain Christ has only been a big mess; a sinful life surrendered unto Him.

It was Christ who sacrificed more than we ever will understand, therefore our life for Christ and the Gospel has given us so much joy.

In serving Him we'll never miss out on anything worthwhile... spiritual worthwhile... Praising His name above ALL names!

On my 70th Birthday

Recently I celebrated my 70th Birthday with family and friends.

Everything was lovely, many gifts, many hugs and kisses and many well-wishes...

But... the most beautiful of all was one of the Birthday cards I received, which touched my heart.

It was a simple card with a picture of a large cake and many candles on it...

But... the wording on it were as words from angels. I don't know if the person who gave me this card realized the deeper message which this card brought to me.

Please, allow me to share it with you.


Your Birthday is a "CELEBRATION OF YOU".
Certain people make life brighter for others,
just by being who they are.

Today, on your Birthday, imagine a cake
with a candle for each time you've cared,
a candle for each time you've put others first,
for each time you've listened and shared.

The light from those candles
would warm the whole world,
much like the kind things you do...
a sweet celebration for all the good things
that shine beautifull, brightly through you.

STORMY NIGHTS



"I can sleep on windy nights"


Years ago, a farmer owned land along the Atlantic seacoast. He constantly advertised for hired hands. Most people were reluctant to work on farms along the Atlantic. They dreaded the awful storms that raged across the Atlantic, wreaking havoc on the buildings and crops.

As the farmer interviewed applicants for the job, he received a steady stream of refusals.

Finally, a short, thin man, well past middle age, approached the farmer. "Are you a good farm hand?" the farmer asked him. "Well, I can sleep when the wind blows," answered the little man.

Although puzzled by this answer, the farmer, desperate for help, Hired him. The little man worked well around the farm, busy from dawn to dusk, and the farmer felt satisfied with the man's work.

Then one night the wind howled loudly in from offshore. Jumping out of bed, the farmer grabbed a lantern and rushed next door to the hired hand's sleeping quarters. He shook the little man and yelled, "Get up! A storm is coming! Tie things down before they blow away!"
The little man rolled over in bed and said firmly, "No sir. I told you, I can sleep when the wind blows."

Enraged by the response, the farmer was tempted to fire him on the spot. Instead, he hurried outside to prepare for the storm. To his amazement, he discovered that all of the haystacks had been covered with tarpaulins. The cows were in the barn, the chickens were in the coops, and the doors were barred. The shutters were tightly secured. Everything was tied down.

Nothing could blow away. The farmer then understood what his hired hand meant, so he returned to his bed to also sleep while the wind blew.


This is an Uncle Arthur story.

When you're prepared, spiritually, mentally, and physically, you have nothing to fear. Can you sleep when the wind blows through your life?

The hired hand in the story was able to sleep because he had secured the farm against the storm.

We secure ourselves against the storms of life by grounding ourselves in the Word of God. We don't need to understand, we just need to hold His hand to have peace in the middle of storms.

Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven. Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
Psalm 107:28-31

False Doctrines of Hell

Dear friend,


The devil is going around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he can devour. This scripture becomes more true as the days go by.

The lie is being spread that God is so loving, He will not have his creation suffer for eternity in hell. Hell is temporary and all will be saved after all, including satan himself, they claim. With other words, live it up... I'm OK and you're OK. These false teachers are used by satan to drag even more into hell, twistng the Scripture while presenting false promises.

God is NOT a man, that He shall lie!

Anyone who believes according to God's word and has been obedient to His commands, cleansed by the Blood of the Lamb, filled with the Holy Spirit has eternal life, and will meet Christ in the air at the time of His return. So shall we be with Him for ever.

The such as mentioned above rejoice that their names are written in the Book of Life. We are not rejoicing in the possibility (according to the false doctrine) that unrepented sinners also share the Kingdom of God, because they WILL NOT!!

Followers of Christ do not fear "endless hell/condemnation", because they will not be there. The ones who will be there are they that have chosen themselves hell because they choose the wrong path of sin and disobedience unto the call of God.

The time to repent is NOW in this life, NOT once a sinner has entered hell.

These false teachers and their followers are believing a deception and their so-to-speak joy will turn into bitter despair, confusion and grief.

They have been trapped in the "convincing lies" of satan himself, and he has blinded their spiritual eyes for God's truth. WHY?? because satan wants company when he is thrown into hell himself with his associates.

Satan, The liar and murderer from the beginning.

From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matthew 4:17

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. John 3:5-7

Do not believe that an unrepented murderer such as Adolph Hitler will enter into heaven, at some point. And millions will not enter either. Sin will NOT enter heaven. The Lord has prepared a place for them that love and serve Him and whose names are written in the Book of Life.

Below are many scriptures which clarify the issue of eternal hell.


For the wages of sin is (spiritual) death; Romans 6:23

Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 1 John 3:15

.... they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. John 5:29

But he that denieth Me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. Luke 12:9

Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? Matthew 23:33

Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Jude 1:7

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 21:8


"Second death" meaning in this context also... NO ESCAPE... NO RELIEF... NO CHANGE...

Mark 9:43-48
And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.


Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?


Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
1 Cor 6:9,10

Conclusion: If the unrepented sinner/offender shall not inherit the Kingdom of God, as the Scripture teaches, they ultimately will "inherit" hell; the fire that never shall be quenched, where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
