How do you see Christ?

Without faith, one sees Christ with the natural eye, as being a man who failed to become a "king", and who died as a criminal... To them, Jesus is unattractive, not desirable, run of the mill... as described in Isaiah Chapter 53:

He hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him....

He is despised and rejected of men;...

esteemed him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted....

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, ... and made his grave with the wicked...

Through eyes of faith we see Christ as:

The Only Begotten Son of God, The Conqueror over satan, sin and death,
The Deliverer of mankind and the Saviour of souls.
The Bright and Morning Star, our Glorious Savior, The Lamb of God,
The Counselor, the King of kings, Lord of lords, our Shepherd,
The Word, Son of man and Son of God, The Master,
The Lily of the Valley, The Resurrection and the Life,
The Prince of Peace, Wonderful, the Mighty God,
The Everlasting Father, The First born of many brethren,

With spiritual eyes of faith we know Christ as described in Psalm 72:11-15, 17:

Yea, all kings shall fall down before Him:
all nations shall serve Him.
For He shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also,
and him that hath no helper.
He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.
He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence:
and precious shall their blood be in His sight.
And He shall live, and to Him shall be given of the gold of Sheba:
prayer also shall be made for Him continually; and daily shall He be praised.

His name shall endure for ever: His name shall be continued
as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in Him: all nations shall call Him blessed.

The above scripture makes me leap for joy! Praise His AWESOME name.

In His service and for His glory,

Minister Dr. Trudy Veerman.
