More Thoughts

The battle in the heavenly region.

Due to lack of wisdom and understanding concerning the battle against the powers of darkness in the heavenly region, many Christians allow themselves to be slapped around by satan himself.

Some do not recognize that satan uses people to distort God's word... to set people up against each other... to use weaknesses in the human nature to hurt, destroy and even kill others.

Yes, we should forgive them that sin against us, but we also should recognize if whatever is done against us is human error or instigated by satan to rip us apart.

Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities in the heavenly region.

And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also. Luke 6:29

Indeed, if one turns the other cheek to satan this is like becoming a subordinate of him, and defeats the purpose of standing in Victory for Christ.

Believers in Christ should be overcomers over sin and satan.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. Revelation 12:11

Changed... flesh to spirit... from worldliness to godliness... unholines to holiness... immodesty to modesty... pride to humility... uncleanliness to purity... haughtiness to humbleness... from self-esteem to esteeming others...

Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2

We need to be transformed in mind and heart, after which the transformation will be seen in our actions. Our moral and spiritual life needs to be fixed before we can take on the form of God. That which is broken must be healed first of all to enable us to lay down our old sinful life.

Who will understand this concept of "change", but they that have an ear and want to hear.

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. Colossians 3:1-3

I would like to add the following related scriptures and poem I wrote several years ago.

Luke 11:35... Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.

Matthew 6:22... The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

Mirror of The Soul

The outer beauty of ourselves
Is just as deep as our skin
We may look fair or meager
But that which matters is within

Our eyes will look upon man
for all that on the outside we'll see
But when assessed on the inside
One may not meet up with what it should be

The mirror in which one views
Shows only the reflection of time
We may behold a "beauty"
Whose heart and soul don't rhyme

Our aim must be, in this present life
To reflect the Love of God
That we ourselves will not be seen
But Jesus be standing in our spot

So, please, have yet another look
In the mirror of your own heart
See if you're already fading away
Giving room to what is the Lord's part

For it will not do us any good
If our mirror doesn't reflect the Son
We don't have any strength nor beauty
Our own attractiveness must be gone

To love ourselves is carnal minded
Showing forth Him, to self we must die
That which we see won't last forever
It's the eternal "unseen" we cannot deny

Our beauty is only in Jesus Christ
While connected with the Father above
When willingly be His hand extended
The mirror will only show His love

2 Corinthians 6:10b...as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

2 Corinthians 4:18... While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
