Seeing Jesus through different eyes!

How do people perceive Jesus Christ?

Without faith in God, one sees Christ with the natural eye, as a man who failed to become a "king", and who died as a criminal. They lack understanding since they are not led by the Holy Spirit, and only respond through their senses.

Their decisions are made by the influence of this world and the "ruler" of the world, the oppressor, satan himself. They are blind and therefore don't recognize this "force". To them, Jesus is unattractive, not desirable, run of the mill... as described in Isaiah Chapter 53.

He hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him....

He is despised and rejected of men;...

esteemed him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted....

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, ...

and made his grave with the wicked...

Without faith they think they do not need Jesus Christ and can manage their own life/business. Perhaps they could, to a point. Just see how they manage after a serious accident or a paralizing illness. All their big talk will soon fade away when trouble enters their door.

Some even think that a Christian believes in a fairy tale, needs a crutch to lean on and therefore trusts Jesus Christ as the Savior. We know better!!

Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. John 20:29b

What a privilege to have received Christ, by our response to the convicting power of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Our decisions are made through the influence of the Holy Spirit, as we allow Him to lead us. We are serving the Savior, not a "tyrant".

Through eyes of faith we see Christ as:

The Only Begotten Son of God, The Conqueror over satan, sin and death,

The Deliverer of mankind and the Saviour of souls.

The Bright Morning Star, our Glorious Savior, The Lamb of God,
The Counselor, the King of kings, Lord of lords, our Shepherd,
The Word, Son of man and Son of God, The Master,
the Lily of the Valley, The Resurrection and the Life,
The Prince of Peace, Wonderful, the Mighty God,
the Everlasting Father, The First born of many brethren,

just to name a few.

For mine eyes have seen Thy salvation, wich Thou hast prepared before the face of all people; Luke 2:30,31

Jesus Christ, the Son of God
calms the sea and stills the storm, He raised up the little girl from her death bed, touched the blind eyes to see, forgave the sins of the prostitute, and looked down from the cross and prayed: "Father forgive them for they don't know what they do."

Through spiritual eyes of faith we recognize Christ as described in Psalm 72:11-15, 17

Yea, all kings shall fall down before Him: all nations shall serve Him.

For He shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.

He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.

He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in His sight.

And He shall live, and to Him shall be given of the gold of Sheba:
prayer also shall be made for Him continually; and daily shall He be praised.

His name shall endure for ever: His name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in Him: all nations shall call Him blessed.

Jesus says: I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. Revelation 22:13,14

AMEN AND AMEN!

Writing
all the above makes me leap for joy.

Praise His name for ever!
