Some may not realize this, but not all believing Christians belong to the Bride of Christ, similar to that not all sports men excel in the Olympics; and that not all students earn a scholarship award. It are those that follow the Lamb wherever He goes, and who are filled with the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity.
The belief that the church will be delivered from the Tribulation is based in part on the Biblical pattern that when God pours out His wrath He always gives opportunity for the righteous to escape it. This was true of Noah and his family, of Sodom and Gomorrah in the days of Lot, and even of the pagan Ninevites to whom Jonah was sent.
The pre-Tribulation position is the best from this point of view. If the Rapture takes place before the Tribulation, we can truly expect it "any day." If it is delayed to the middle or end of the Tribulation, we could not honestly have that expectation now.
JESUS said: But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; SO SHALL ALSO THE COMING OF THE SON OF MAN BE. Matthew 24:37-39
WASN'T NOAH SAVED AND TAKEN AWAY IN THE ARK BEFORE THE FLOOD?
So shall the Bride of Christ be lifted up in a twinkling of an eye, before all hell breaks loose. AMEN! The Sanctified followers will be caught up and meet Jesus in the sky. Jesus gave his followers that precise example, to be rescued as Noah was. Jesus knew what had happened then and He knows what will happen at His return. AMEN! JESUS COMES FOR HIS BRIDE! Those who have OIL in their vessel; the Holy Spirit of GOD!
For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted WORTHY TO ESCAPE all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Luke 21:35,36 (ESCAPE is referred to the Rapture).
And to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus, which DELIVERED us from the WRATH to come. 1 Thess 1:10
Because thou hast kept the word of My patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Revelation 3:10,11
Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: He preserveth the souls of His saints; He delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. Psalm 97:10
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of Thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time Thy people shall be DELIVERED, every one that shall be found written in the book. Daniel 12:1
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.
And every man that hath this hope in Him purifieth himself, even as He is pure. 1 John 3:2,3
All the above shows the "ESCAPE ROUTE", as the five wise virgins knew, who had all the OIL (Holy Spirit) needed to enter into Wedding Feast. The five foolish virgins lacked OIL and missed the Wedding Party. They were not so concerned and dedicated to meet that which was needed to enter.
Therefore, those who don't live up to God's requirements cannot be caught up at the time which ONLY THE FATHER KNOWS, of meeting Jesus in the air in a twinkling of an eye.
Those who stay behind will go through the GREAT TRIBULATION, of which time Jesus told His disciples "to be counted worthy to escape".
Out of the Great Tribulation will come a large crowd, which cannot be counted, who came through tremendous persecution and onslaught, who suffered for the name of Jesus. They are the ones laying under the Altar.
And when He had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: Revelation 6:9
God's word does not say that the Child of God will not suffer or being persecuted. The past and present time shows that indeed followers of Christ encounter suffering. This may be compared with throwing a stone to a sheep who wanders from the flock, or as a reminder to walk carefully and to exercise one's faith, for example.
But the GREAT TRIBULATION is FIERCE, something which NEVER has been and NEVER WILL happen again, according to the words of Jesus.
The Bride of Christ will be snatched away before that grotesque and terrible day.
Be ready and prepared! His coming in the clouds will be a ONE TIME event.
