We prepare ourselves either way and take all world events/happenings into consideration regarding the signs of His return. We may be right at the beginning of the Tribulation, but how far our Lord allows us to be in it is up to Him. We may hear the heart wrenching cries of those who are lost in sin and the storms raging as Noah did, while he and his family were save in the ark.
Or we may not go through the Tribulation at all. If Jesus comes for His Bride tomorrow, I welcome the awesome celebration of His return. If He comes after a couple of years, I am ready.
Do we need to go through the tribulation, we'll go. Many have suffered before us, although the Great Tribulation will be as never has been before and never will be in future days. For this I believe God will save/keep us.
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Luke 21:36
Perhaps Jesus returns after 3 1/2 years of tribulation, but it should not matter to us what date and time we will meet Him, if we stay ready and prepared. AMEN!!
To be READY is the key-word and this is one of the reasons, I believe, that no one knows the day and the hour of Christ's return, except the Father. The day and the hour is also kept secret from the powers of darkness as not to be in the way or any hindrance of God's command for His Bride to come forth and being lifted up to meet her Bridegroom in the air. And we will meet Him in a twinkling of an eye, the Scripture states.
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. Luke 21:27,28
We'll see you THERE, yonder... on the other shore.
