Faith to move Mountains!

*

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

Faith is an unmistakable unshakable assurance, a Mighty Force.

It is a tremendous drive in the life of the follower of Christ. With faith in our heart we can move mountains, as Jesus says. It is the power which keeps us standing in times of need and despair. The hope we have for the answer to follow.

Without faith Jesus couldn't perform any miracle, according to God's word. This shows how important it is for us to have faith if we need something from God.

Faith comes by hearing of the Word. So, start digging in and meditating upon God's word to enlarge your faith.

Our whole life can be surrounded by faith, if we surely know God. And to know Him is through His word and confirmation by the Holy Ghost.

It starts at Salvation in Christ...
By grace are ye saved through FAITH. Ephesians 2:8

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Titus 3:5

Nothing we can add to earn our salvation.

It is Not as some religious people may tell you to do this or that, such as being baptized, partake of the Holy Communion and confess your sins to a "priest", in order to be saved. Confessing your sins to Christ Jesus and accepting Him as your Savior and Lord is the beginning of your Christian life. Obeying God's word is the next step, and will follow as you allow the Holy Spirit to guide and direct you in your daily walk with God.

Faith has to become part of us, after we have learned to trust God and His word.
Faith is a Gift of God, and is given to them that have surrendered their lives in obedience unto the Father, with a desire to follow Him wherever He goes, and trusting that He will do whatever He has promised.

Faith takes God's promises for certain. AMEN!!

... for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Matthew 17:20

Having "Faith" makes me think of a father who tells his son that he will buy him a bicycle next week. The boy tells his friends that he will have a bike next week, because he has learned from past experiences that his father always did what he promised. With this certainty the son had no doubt whasoever, knowing that for sure he would have this bike the following week. No if's or but's or hope so... rather the son was all excited to tell his friends, although he had not seen any evidence.

We certainly can transfer such faith to the promises of our heavenly Father, especially since we know from the scriptures that God actually has proven Himself to be true to His word.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised;) Hebrews 10:23.

Some more scriptures on faith.

James 1:3 "Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience."

Galatians 3:26 "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus."

2Corinthians 5:7 "For we walk by faith, not by sight..."

James 1:6 "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed."

Praise His name for ever.

Thank you for this very very clear and simple example that will be easy and fun to always have at hand to remember so I too can speak out of a position of faith. God bless you, Trudy.

Dear Trudy,
Your comments on "Faith!" was excellent.. and caused me some deep thoughts on that special word, "Faith!"
And now that I am growing older, I consider the following scripture very dear to my heart.

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."
2 Timothy 4:7

God bless you my dear friend for all of the interesting and uplifting, admonishing and excellent scriptures contained in each Blog.

In His love,

Confession is very important because you get to tell God your sins and a weight is lifted away from you

Dear Gin,
I agree, confessing sins to God, the Father is most important. He will cleanse us from all unrighteousness through Christ and we shall be washed whiter than snow. Amen.

Thank you ALL for your comments.

Be blessed in Jesus, the Christ.

what happens when one confessess sin, reads the Bible, prays, fast and yet God does not bring that bicycle so to speak. Take marriage. Having a child. What happens when one's spouse cheats? One can pray and pray but there is not guarentee that one's faith will cause God to what YOU want. My spouse cheated on me. I prayed and prayed and asked God, reminded God and prayed pslams and scriptures galore about marriage, God hating divorce, etc. My husband remains unsaved and we remain separated. It is not all about one's faith. God has to uphold his promises too! If it was all on us, as humans to have faith or God to work, everything is bound to fail because we are human, we are not God. Only God can perform a miracle. This teaching that our faith alone make things happen is only true if what we want is within God's will. Is the fact that my husband is unsaved my fault as in my faith is not strong enough? No one wants to address unanswered prayer and when they do it is always that the person has sin in their heart, unconfessed sin, not faithful enough, as if we humans had the magic ability to make God do what we want through"faith". When a prayer goes unanswered or a promise does not manifest it is always the persons' fault. What an incredibly horrible burden to lay on someone. I pray for healing for my friend, but they die. I guess my faith was not strong enough and therefor I murdered my friend? I doubt God believes that yet that is what this faith teaching is really saying. My faith was insufficient and therefor God could not be released to act and save my friend. I am guilty ! Yet who is God here in this "faith"reasoning. There are many, many instances where God acted in the Bible without the faith of anyone. No one believed that Lazarus could be raised from the dead. Jesus did it without the Faith of anyone around him. He drove out demons without the faith of anyone believing with him. I have read many of your teaching, and believe you are a Holy Spirit Filled woman but please think through and ask Jesus what He really wants you to say about faith and what we can do. Having faith does not mean that you can make things happen the way you want or even believe God wants. God says He hates divorce and yet, eventhough I have prayed and prayed my husband refuses to be committed in our marriage and we remain separated. I am left as a believer to either leave my husband and divorce him and then never marry again - basically being punished - or to keep praying and praying and having faith that God will on eday save my husband and restore out marriage. The burden is all on me not even on Jesus. So it is all up to me to have faith to save my husband and restore our marriage. If it doesn't happen then the blame is on me right because I didn't "have faith enough to move mountains." this is a very condeming point of view.

Dear Sister,

I am sorry to hear that you didn't get my message as others received it, and as I meant it to be.
I can understand your frustration, but you are incorrect in several points you mentioned in your comments.

I'll gladly reply in more detail to your post, through a personal email. I promise, I will not blame you for anything, but there are more factors involved in seeing prayer answered if it involves other people. God is not going to twist anybody's arm. People have a free will to obey God or not.

If you go to my counselor's website http://achristiancounselor.com and leave me your email address with a short note that you posted on this Blog, using the CONTACT FORM on the left sidebar, and I will respond.

The Lord bless you and give you strength.

In His service.
