The Challenges of our Christian Walk

O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of His praise to be heard: Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.

For Thou, O God, hast proved us: Thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. Thou broughtest us into the net; Thou laidst affliction upon our loins. Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but Thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.

I will go into Thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay Thee my vows, which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble. Psalm 66:8-14

Beloved friend in Christ,

Allow me to share from my personal experience how important and beneficial it will become when we allow the Father to teach us through the Word and personal experiences. May these experiences be a challenge or blessing.

I have known the Savior and the Father, and the Holy Spirit for some 53 years.
In the early stages I walked step by step, just as a baby learned to walk, stumbled here and there, but got up and walked a bit better after. As time went by my leg muscles became pretty strong and I could even run after several years. Of course speaking about my spiritual walk with God.

Now there have been challenges in my life and I had to decide which way I wanted to go... my way or the Father's way. I struggled and fought my way through the trials.
Many difficulties crossed my path but I was holding unto the Lord, because I knew that I would be a loser if I didn't.

Some trials were poured over me with force, but I overcame in the strength of the Lord.
Later on I learned to not avoid the challenges God brought my way, since they became learning experiences. The Father taught me to apply His word and promises, so I would overcome for His glory.

Some were painful years, similar as where Joseph went through when he was thrown in the dry well by his brothers, sold and then during his tenure put into prison due to the lies of Potiphar's wife, remember?

Joseph did not crumble under the pressure, he rather was a help to other prisoners. God led him out and Joseph became the right hand of Pharaoh, and the mightiest in the land of Egypt at the age of thirty.

What I am trying to tell you is that if we want to grow and become stronger in the Lord so He can use us in His service, we HAVE TO GO through the God provided challenges to build up FAITH and TRUST in His word.

If we would ignore that which God puts on our path, we will be missing out on learning experiences which would have strengthened our FAITH and our walk with Him. The result of this may be that we lose the chance to see God at work.

Also one will become weaker instead of stronger by ignoring God's direction.
By Not using your "muscles" you will become weak and eventually powerless, right?

Just check some of the Mighty men of God throughout the Bible and you will agree with me that their life was far from easy... then read what they received in return... AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE WITH THE MASTER HIMSELF.

The three Hebrew children had one of the greatest experiences in the fiery furnace, especially when they walked out unharmed. Daniel in the lions den was another person who walked in obedience unto God, nevertheless he was left in the lions' den to be shred to pieces, but wasn't.

Has God changed? Absolutely NOT!! We are the ones who may change.

With this, I want to encourage you to accept all that the Father has arranged for your present life, with the ability to lay treasures at His feet due to your surrender unto His will and ways. Also the tremendous JOY which will follow you in the way God will lead you and use you through these trials. All this with the assurance to experience His Mighty Hand in deliverance, healing, restoration, reunion, and so much more which you don't want to miss.

Right now I am very moved by the Holy Spirit, just by remembering what exercises I had to go through to become what God had in mind for me, and not who I decided to be.
But looking back, it was worth it all. Through allowing God to mold me into His image I have experience great heights, have been raised from serious sick beds, have seen oodles of mighty miracles of which the first miracle was the instant healing of my oldest sister who suffered for 10 years from serious mental illness and hallucination.
After that I counted nothing impossible with God.

Beloved, be encouraged and go the extra mile with God, because He has something special lined up for you at the end, I promise because I know it.

Fear not for I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord Almighty. Look up for your redemption draws nigh.

When Christ returns He will reward each person according to what he has done. HALLELUJAH!  AMEN!

Be greatly blessed by the Father.

In His service and for His glory,
Minister Dr. Trudy Veerman
