And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. Luke 2:9-12
It
is important to remember that not everyone is surrounded by large
wonderful families. Some of us have problems during the holidays and
sometimes are overcome with great sadness when we remember the
loved ones who are not with us. And, many people have no one to spend
these times with, and are besieged by loneliness.
We all need caring, loving thoughts right now. Let us give a moment of support to all those who have family problems, health struggles, job issues, worries of any kind and just need to know that someone cares.
Do it for all of us, for nobody is immune. Present hope and love to those around you and give them moral support. Allow God's LOVE to shine, for that Jesus was born.
The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.
Refrain:
Oh, love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure
The saints' and angels' song.
When hoary time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
When men who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call,
God’s love so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race
The saints’ and angels’ song.
Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.
Be blessed in Christ,
Minister Dr. Trudy Veerman
