God Is Not Mocked!

DO NOT BE DECEIVED; GOD IS NOT MOCKED!
Never doubt the Word of God!!!

Make a personal reflection about this. It is written in the Bible:
"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." Galations 6:7

Here are some men and women who mocked God:

JOHN LENNON:
Some years before during his interview with an American Magazine, he said:
"Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue about that. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, today we are more famous than Him" (1966)".
Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.

TANCREDO NEVES:
He was a Brazilian banker and politician. On January 15, 1985 Tancredo Neves was elected to the Presidency by a majority of the members of Congress. However, just one day before he was scheduled to take the oath of office ( March 15, 1985), Neves became severely ill. He suffered from abdominal complications and developed generalized infections. After seven operations, Tancredo Neves died on April 21, 1985.
During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency. Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President, then he died.

CAZUZA:
He was a bisexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet.
During a show in Canecão ( Rio de Janeiro ), whilst smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said: God, that's for you.

I can't even explain how he died. He died in Rio de Janeiro in 1990 at the age of 32 due to AIDS related illness.

THE MAN WHO BUILT TITANIC:
After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be. With an ironic tone he said: "Not even God can sink it."

On April 10, 1912, the RMS Titanic set sail from Southampton on her maiden voyage to New York. At that time, she was the largest and most luxurious ship ever built. At 11:40 PM on April 14, 1912, she struck an iceberg about 400 miles off Newfoundland, Canada. Less than three hours later, the Titanic plunged to the bottom of the sea, taking more than 1500 people with her. Only a fraction of her passengers were saved.

MARILYN MONROE:
Billy Graham visited her, during a presentation of a show. He is a preacher and Evangelist and the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her.

After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said: "I don't need your Jesus."
A week later, she was found dead in her apartment.

BON SCOTT:
The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC On one of his 1979 songs he sang: "Don't stop me, I'm going down all the way, wow the highway to hell".
On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked by his vomit
.

CAMPINAS/SP IN 2005:
In Campinas, a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend. The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter - holding her hand, who was already seated in the car: "MY DAUGHTER, GO WITH GOD AND MAY HE PROTECT YOU."
She responded: "ONLY IF HE (GOD) TRAVELS IN THE BOOT, COZ INSIDE HERE IT'S ALREADY FULL."

Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died, the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the boot was intact.

The police said there was no way the boot could have remained intact. To their surprise, inside the boot was a crate of eggs none was broken.

* * * * * * *

Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other name that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus. Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and He is still alive. JESUS!!!

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew16:26

Please, pass on this important message.

As for John Lennon, here's what it really said:

"I suppose if I had said television was more popular than Jesus, I would have gotten away with it. I'm sorry I opened my mouth. I'm not anti-God, anti-Christ, or anti-religion. I wasn't knocking it or putting it down.
I was just saying it as a fact and it's true more for England than here.
I'm not saying that we're better or greater, or comparing us with Jesus Christ as a person or God as a thing or whatever it is. I just said what I said and it was wrong..."
-News conference in Chicago, where he apologized for the above statement, 11 August 1966

As Christians, we need to be very, very careful of Internet Gossip. Even if you don't speak it out loud, your written words could be condemning and therefore held against you on Judgement day.

"Speaking the truth in love,
we are to grow up in all aspects
into Him, who is the head, even Christ."
Ephesians 4:15

Hi Sherry,

According to your comment, here was only Lennon's apology so narrating what Lennon originally said about God is not Judgemental but statement of fact!

And the dates for the comments??? John Lennon made his comment above in 1966. A comment that he did apologize for and the apology wa accepted by the vatican.

John Lennon was shot in 1980.

So according to this, "God held a grudge for 14years" against a comment that was taken out of context and that was retracted with an apology.

If "God" is holding "grudes" then it goes against the belief that God is merciful and forgiving. A teaching of most Christian beliefs.

God is a Merciful and forgiving Lord but he is also a misterious fire as well. Judgement is in his word and by his word the Holy Bible we will all be judged gave Jhon Lenon 14 years to repent for his life, repentence means confession by word of mouth and by not commiting the same sin over and over. Remember God is Holy and he asked us to become Holy as him. God Bless.

Quote of 3rd comment: "A comment that he did apologize for and the apology wa accepted by the vatican."

An apology is much different than asking God for forgiveness... Besides who is the "vatican"? The vatican has NO rights whatsoever to forgive those that sin against God and/or His word.

God has no grudge against anybody, and this is not found in His word either. What happened was the result of being involved in a sinful lifestyle and not having repented of it.

So many paths that wind and wind
While just the art of being kind
Is all the sad world needs”

My comments on the latest post....There may be "some" truth in what you did quote here... sadly enough kindness is NOT enough this sad world needs. What this world needs and all who live in it, is the saving grace of God, through Christ Jesus.

He was the Sacrifice for the sin of this world, but it will not go into effect as long as this Sacrifice is not accepted by confessing one's sin and walking according to His word.

Mankind is stubborn and thinks he can manage his only life, until he messes it up badly. Hopefully it will not be too late to turn his/her life over to Christ.
