ANGELS IN INDIANA?

In September 1960, I woke up one morning with six hungry babies and just 75 cents in my pocket.

Their father was gone.

The boys ranged from three months to seven years; their sister was two.

Their Dad had never been much more than a presence they feared..

Whenever they heard his tires crunch on the gravel driveway they would scramble to hide under their beds.

He did manage to leave $15 a week to buy groceries.

Now that he had decided to leave, there would be no more beatings, but no food either.

If there was a welfare system in effect in southern Indiana at that time, I certainly knew nothing about it.

I scrubbed the kids until they looked brand new and then put on my best homemade dress, loaded them into the rusty old 51 Chevy and drove off to find a job.

The seven of us went to every factory, store and restaurant in our small town.
No luck.

The kids stayed crammed into the car and tried to be quiet while I tried to convince who ever would listen that I was willing to learn or do anything. I had to have a job.

Still no luck. The last place we went to, just a few miles out of town, was an old Root Beer Barrel drive-in that had been converted to a truck stop.

It was called the Big Wheel.

An old lady named Granny owned the place and she peeked out of the window from time to time at all those kids. She needed someone on the graveyard shift, 11 at night until seven in the morning.

She paid 65 cents an hour, and I could start that night.

I raced home and called the teenager down the street that baby-sat for people. I bargained with her to come and sleep on my sofa for a dollar a night. She could arrive with her pajamas on and the kids would already be asleep.

This seemed like a good arrangement to her, so we made a deal.

That night when the little ones and I knelt to say our prayers, we all thanked God for finding Mommy a job.. And so I started at the Big Wheel.

When I got home in the mornings I woke the baby-sitter up and sent her home with one dollar of my tip money-- fully half of what I averaged every night.

As the weeks went by, heating bills added a strain to my meager wage.

The tires on the old Chevy had the consistency of penny balloons and began to leak. I had to fill them with air on the way to work and again every morning before I could go home.

One bleak fall morning, I dragged myself to the car to go home and found four tires in the back seat. New tires!

There was no note, no nothing, just those beautiful brand new tires.

Had angels taken up residence in Indiana ? I wondered.

I made a deal with the local service station. In exchange for his mounting the new tires, I would clean up his office. I remember it took me a lot longer to scrub his floor than it did for him to do the tires..

I was now working six nights instead of five and it still wasn't enough.

Christmas was coming and I knew there would be no money for toys for the kids ..

I found a can of red paint and started repairing and painting some old toys. Then I hid them in the basement so there would be something for Santa to deliver on Christmas morning.

Clothes were a worry too. I was sewing patches on top of patches on the boys pants and soon they would be too far gone to repair.

On Christmas Eve the usual customers were drinking coffee in the Big Wheel. There were the truckers, Les, Frank, and Jim, and a state trooper named Joe.

A few musicians were hanging around after a gig at the Legion and were dropping nickels in the pinball machine. The regulars all just sat around and talked through the wee hours of the morning and then left to get home before the sun came up.

When it was time for me to go home at seven o'clock on Christmas morning, to my amazement, my old battered Chevy was filled full to the top with b oxes of all shapes and sizes.

I quickly opened the driver's side door, crawled inside and kneeled in the front facing the back seat.

Reaching back, I pulled off the lid of the top box.

Inside was whole case of little blue jeans, sizes 2-10!

I looked inside another box: It was full of shirts to go with the jeans.

Then I peeked inside some of the other boxes. There was candy and nuts and bananas and bags of groceries. There was an enormous ham for baking, and canned vegetables and potatoes. There was pudding and Jell-O and cookies, pie filling and flour. There was a whole bag of laundry supplies and cleaning items.

And there were five toy trucks and one beautiful little doll.

As I drove back through empty streets as the sun slowly rose on the most amazing Christmas Day of my life, I was sobbing with gratitude.

And I will never forget the joy on the faces of my little ones that precious morning.

Yes, there were angels in Indiana that long-ago December. And they all hung out at the Big Wheel truck stop....

THE POWER OF PRAYER. I believe that God only gives three answers to prayer:

1. 'Yes!'

2. 'Not yet.'

3. 'I have something better in mind..'

God still sits on the throne, the devil is a liar.

You may be going through a tough time right now but God is getting ready to bless you in a way that you cannot imagine.

Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off. Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me. Psalm 138:6,7

He heareth the cry of the afflicted. Job 34:28

Let all of the above be a reminder to you that God is still ALMIGHTY and MERCIFUL, and that He is the GREAT I AM!

IN DESPAIR? GOD IS THERE!

Beloved Friend in Christ,

Be encouraged when times get tough, because God will NOT forsake you, I promise! He will calm your "sea".

As we all know, this life is far from perfect, even for a Christian.

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. Psalm 34:18,19

God's blessings, His strength and His faithfulness has overwhelmed me at times, but the devil has always been out to destroy me and the ministry God directed me in. (We know about this)

A few weeks ago I thought what was happening to me was beyond repair. It was devastating to say the least and I was about to become so depressed and my hope for recovery of the incident was near impossible. Due to this I became physically and emotionally down and out for a few days.

I endured and my soul cried out to God. He never left me nor forsook me, but lifted me up out of the pit again. I fought the battle and within a few days, amazingly all was LIFTED by God's interference, although I had some sort of setback for days after.

The IMPOSSIBLE is truly POSSIBLE WITH GOD, as I experience from time to time. THE SUCH ARE REMINDERS, we sometimes go through (perhaps by our own doings), that God still is who He says He is...
I AM WHO I AM... I AM THE GREAT I AM...

Psalm 3:3,4 But Thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and He heard me out of His holy hill. Selah.

Psalm 34:15
The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry.

Psalm 115:11
Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: He is their help and their shield.

His word is always so encouraging and uplifting.

Be blessed in the name of Christ.

In His service.

Observe and Prepare!

This time around Christ will come as King. Be ready to meet Him in the air!

We have experienced times of agony, times of great joy and times of sadness, but God never failed us. He kept true to His word on ALL fronts. Many revelations, dreams, visions and prophecies God has given us. And now we see the days getting shorter of what Daniel and Revelation speak of.

Just look around you, be silent before the Lord and listen what the Holy Spirit has to say.

Whatever we may notice in the physical world and the evil events going on around the globe; the war and struggle between good and evil, the environment changes, the destruction of all good, rejection of godly instructions, and the abandonment of that which God requires in His word has its effect in the spiritual realm.

Evil is taking over at this endtime and God's judgement over this world is about to be poured out, far worse than in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah. Mark 6:11

We are continually reminded of 1 Peter 4:18
And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

Revelation 6:17 For the great day of His wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Isaiah 66:16 For by fire and by His sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.

Please, pay seriously attention to the words of Christ Himself:

"And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
For as a snare shall it come on ALL them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man."
Luke 21:34-36

"Worthy to escape", refers to being ready to meet Christ in the air at the rapture.

And it was given unto him (the beast) to make war with the Saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
If any man have an ear, let him hear.
Revelation 13:7-9

Do I really have to add any more to the above?

Beloved, I cannot emphasize enough that you go into your "closet" and seek God's face continually, so you will know any move you need to make.

I'm not preaching "Dooms Day", for the joy of the Lord is my strength, but we should not ignore God's word concerning these last days and the devastation coming over this planet. We need to be prepared and warn others to make serious commitments unto the Lord, before the time closes in.
My soul is in despair from time to time for what I sense in the spirit and what the Holy Spirit reveals concerning the days to come.

BE WATCHFUL AND PRAY, so that "day" will not come to you unprepared!

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. Luke 21:28

Keep looking up!

Minister Dr. Trudy Veerman

Present Thoughts

Teach me Thy way, O Lord; I will walk in Thy truth.
I will praise Thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify Thy name for evermore. For great is Thy mercy toward me: and Thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell. Psalm 86:11-13

The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and holy in all His works.
The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth. Psalm 145:17,18

I said to the Lord: "Lord I cannot figure You out, I cannot fathom your ways.
Your ways are a mystery, although Your word is a "rough" outline of your will.

If I could figure out Your ways in detail and Who You really are, I wouldn't need You. If I would understand Your mighty ways, I would be equal unto You. But I am NOT and I need Your help so much, as do my Brothers and Sisters.

Work far above our understanding, I pray, because this is what we really need. We need the moving of Your Holy Spirit and Your power to overrule all the opposition we face from our human nature and the powers of darkness.

Come Holy Spirit, I need You. Come Holy Spirit, I pray. Come in Your strength and Your power, Come in Your own gentle way." AMEN!

Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein. Hosea 14:9

For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8,9

Let the name of the Lord be praised for ever and ever. AMEN!

Modern Christianity

*
So many don't WANT to see what is needed to really follow Christ. It is a matter of sacrificing oneself, the "old flesh", which is not popular at all. No, they say, we must have confidence in ourselves and high self-esteem, which is more palatable. The church is following worldly psychology rather than God's word.

They want to be entertained, or just think that attending a church and hear the word (whatever that may be) is enough to enter heaven. BUT the sad thing is... this is NOT enough. Jesus Himself says: "Not they that say Lord Lord... BUT WHO DO THE WILL OF MY FATHER."

Some preachers are guilty of leading the flock astray. I have said several times that in case of, if your church need a preacher for a service, I would love to come and preach God's word. They know that I will rock the church with the power of God when I get a chance... so I'm not asked to preach

Many of the church members are hungry for a Word which speaks personally to them. They want to hear what GOD HAS TO SAY, but don't know how to present this to the pastor and speak up. Others who want to be entertained... SPEAK UP... THUS entertainment they'll get.

We, the true believers, are hungry for God's word and His power to encourage and sustain us in these last days, and I pray you are in the same frame of mind.
This is another way, how God "forced" me to work through the Internet, while I could've NEVER reached the millions if I would've physically preached.

I had a calling to Brazil, South America before I got married. Didn't know how to ever get there with four small children after marriage. I became frustrated with the Lord, not knowing that I would be "traveling" the globe (not only Brazil) many times over within a short period of 10 years through the Internet. God knew it all along. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.

Our God is NOT done yet. He will carry us to the unreachable, in whatever manner this will be.

Preachers and pastors may have forsaken their calling, but the time has come now that God will use the unpopular, the unknown, the infamous, the non-celebrities, the plain clothed ones, to bring His Truth and revelation. AMEN!!

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saithunto Zion, Thy God reigneth! Isaiah 52:7

We don't need to, and better not wear expensive jewelry, garments and coiffures, or drive RollsRoys and live in a million dollar home to show we are "somebody". Without Christ we are nothing, remember? But through faith and the power of the Holy Spirit one can move mountains, Jesus said.

Jesus had no place to rest His head, but a stone. Many have gone astray and lost their Path.
Jesus said: "Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."

There is BEAUTY in simplicity, believe me! We have to become less so He will increase in our lives.

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:5,6

Anyone out there paying attention to the words of Christ??

May our God and Father, help us and strengthen us to abide in Him.

Be blessed in the Lord.

His servant,
Minister Dr. Trudy Veerman

Going in the right direction!

Many Christians expect to learn what is taught at church and participate in the service ONLY, but lack a personal relationship with the Father. Others follow doctrines of man, of past culture and of history, but lack to follow Christ Himself.

It is much easier to sit and listen than to make effort to search God's word and wait upon Him.

People, including Christians, seem to become overwhelmed by the things which do not really matter to their spiritual life. They seldom go down into the "deep" things of God and skimp on the most important issue of discovering the truth of God's word. But in order to be free we need to know God's truth!

Jesus Himself says:
"I am the way, the truth and the life..."

Many are not taught to study God's word thoroughly for themselves. They seem to blindly accept that which comes from the pulpit... because the Pastor should know...

Their heads are stuffed with the world news, TV soap operas, blaring noisy music, worrying about global issues more than about the condition of their soul and the things of God. Many come home after the church service and are right away involved in worldly affairs.

Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. James 4:4b

And therefore they live a life of defeat, depression, mishaps and misery.
How else could it be?
On the other hand I wonder, are they taught God's word or a personal opinion? Is the pastor presenting God's word with conviction and fire, or is it just to fill the half hour preaching time? Are you, as member, discerning God's truth in what is preached or are you just dozing? It is very important for your spiriutal health to know where you are at.

Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember? Mark 8:18

Christians who have come out of denominational churches have most likely searched the scriptures more intense, because they questioned the doctrines/teachings of the church they did attend, and tend to search God's word to find the truth of the matter. Such are lovers of TRUTH.

From there on they usually are more alert and watchful, therefore they may be more up to read and study God's word.
Others who have not noticed the deception may stay with their denomination because they just accept what is taught without checking God's word for the truth, as long as it sounds good. And some may even stay for the social activities; entertainment, corn roasts, Christmas dinners etc. and not for their spiritual welfare.

Following Christ, studying God's word, denying the old flesh, taking up one's cross, forgiving the neighbour, blessing the enemy, looking after widows and orphans, are things that DO NOT come natural to anybody. What comes naturally to ALL is SIN and rebellion.

Therefore one needs to submit to God and allow Christ to change them from within, after which we become willing to walk in obedience through the indwelling and the power of the Holy Ghost.

You better know this that the Holy Spirit does not dwell in them that have not committed their lives unto God. The Spirit of a Holy God is not in the lives of those who are not serious enough or have no desire to study God's word and search for His truth, although they may attend all the church services! They serve the world and pretend to serve God. The such cannot change, as long as they don't want to commit to God, the Father.

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Matthew 6:24

Really, it does not come natural to submit unto God and to keep the old nature into the grave. We need endurance to follow Christ and this takes the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and practising God's Word.

One has to ask himself how can I come to know my God and Savior better... how can I dedicate and commit my life to Him... how can my life glorify God and benefit my neighbour... is my calling to live for myself or should I lay down my life for others... Is God pleased in the way I present His Son, Jesus Christ? Sticking to rules and regulations won't do, but the correct attitude of the heart will reach God.

A true follower of Christ is not SEEKING excitement in miracles, healings, Gifts of the Holy Spirit or anything as to stir the flesh. But such signs and wonders are following the servant of God as he walks in truth.

WE DON'T NEED TO DEFEND THE WORK OF GOD, NEITHER PROVE HIS ATTRIBUTES.
BUT.... He will confirm our walk with signs and wonders, as His word tells us. NOT seeking signs and then follow Him. Nevertheless, His promises are Yeah and Amen and so are the Gifts of the Holy Spirit!

I speak from personal experience, that through life's trials we get the opportunity to come to know the Father in a profound way, while others curse Him for the same trials.
I believe this to be a matter of being able to humble oneself before God or to ignore Him and stick up the head in rebellion.

It is one or the other, all or nothing. We follow Christ or we don't... but nothing in between.

I have continually before me my own lifespan and can only think of how short it is and how long eternity last. To me it has become obvious that following Christ and to love God with all my heart, mind and soul and "missing out" on the worldly pleasure is worth it ALL, gaining Him more.

I thank God that over the years He has brought me thus far through His grace and mercy. Therefore I shall praise Him with all that is within me, for ever and ever. AMEN!!

I had to think that if one truly desires to follow in the footsteps of Christ that they need to sacrifice their life. I mean the old "self", the "me" and keep it buried in the grave, and truly begin to walk in the NEWNESS of life.

This is the hardest thing to do, since we are continuously confronted with the old nature. BUT it is not impossible, thank God.

With Paul I can say:
"O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Followers of Christ have to set their mind on things above, sanctifying themselves and literally shut themselves off from this world ; throwing a few things out of the house, burning that which does not belong in a Christian home and breaking down their "altars". Preparing themselves, similar as Noah did by moving into the ark to avoid the "flood".

I must say, that not too many are willing to go that far, because they are still clinging onto a half "decayed" ME. Staying in such a condition is like sitting on a teeter-totter... moving but never getting ahead in the things of God.

If we follow Christ in all sincerity and humility we will live a life of victory, and we will see His promises fulfilled, we will experience the power to overcome through the Holy Spirit, we will be able to withstand the powers of darkness, we will find healing for our body, we will see miracles and wonders, as were in the days of Jesus. Jesus Himself says that we shall do greater things than He did.
Nevertheless, this is not what I seek, but what will happen as one stays focussed on the SOURCE, while giving ALL the glory to God. AMEN AND AMEN!!

No matter how we are raised or in what spiritual environment we have grown up, we can and have to make a choice if we want to follow God's truth or the deception of man, once we have been confronted with the Gospel of Christ.

This means that whosoever stays under the deception is not a follower of Christ.

Abide in Him and He will abide in you!

Paul stated ... For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would, I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do
.

The above shows the battle between the flesh and the spirit, with which we all have to deal... Yes, even the true believers in Christ. Walking in the footsteps of Christ is a continuous battle between evil and good. God's word doesn't say for nothing that we have to put on ALL THE ARMOUR OF GOD and be FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT, because this is the ONLY way we can walk in obedience to His word and pleasing unto Him.

If one's walk is effortless and comes natural... watch out, for the Bible says something different, rather states the opposite.

We have to remember that denominational churches have no privileges with God, they are not even recognized by Him. God searches the heart and the intentions thereof. They that are written in the Book of Life are those who have followed the Lamb wherever He goes, NOT they that belong to a denominational church.

I pray that the thoughts presented before you will encourage you to bring all your cares at the foot of the cross, and leave them there. And that you will be able to shut yourself off of this world and its noises to better concentrate on the LOVE of your life, Christ the Savior.

Jesus says in Matthew 6:21,22... For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

"The eye be single", may be interpret as being focused in one direction. Let God be your TREASURE through Jesus Christ, I pray.

Really,
HE IS ALL YOU NEED and ALL that matters!

Dear friend in Christ,

Blessings and peace be yours in Christ.

I didn't write any article for my website or blog for some time, due to personal circumstances and the leading of the Lord.

Nevertheless there are many helpful, instructive and uplifting writings and poetic pages on any of my websites.

As I have observed there are many Christian people who need information on what to do with their remains after death, according to God's word.
Some time ago I wrote an article on
CREMATION and EMBALMING.

I have added some very informative links which will be an eye opener to many.

Please, follow the link below and read it prayerfully.

As always, feel free to pass it on.
