The end and a New Beginning

*
Tomorrow the year 2008 will have passed, and we will have entered 2009. So what is the difference for the follower of Christ; they that trust in Him?

So glad to know that in Christ old things have passed away and all things are become NEW.

The beginning and the end of things are in God's hand. He is without beginning or end.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Revelation 22:13

Please, allow me to remind you of some words of God for His people. Rejoice in Him at ALL times, don't stare at the roaring "waves" of life, because this also will pass. Put your eyes upon the Master and upon Him who has everything under control.

Don't let your unbelief block His blessings, but rather walk well pleasing before His face, trusting Him in all things. There is nothing which speaks louder than God's word itself.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11

O love the LORD, all ye His saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD. Psalm 31:23,24

The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in Him. Nahum 1:7

But Thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. Psalm 3:3

Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for He is good: for His mercy endureth for ever. Psalm 106:1

The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. Isaiah 60:19

My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and He in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me. Psalm 144:2

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 2 Corinthians 4:8,9

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:10-12

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. Numbers 6:24-26

And the people of God say: "AMEN AND AMEN."
I pray for God's blessings upon your life for the coming year.

In the service of God and for His glory.

Christ's Birth on the wrong date?

*Gloria in Excelsis Deo*

As you may know we are not commanded to celebrate the birth of Christ, but we may.

Since we have seen and experienced His glory similar as the shepherds and the wise men had, we cannot keep quiet because Christ was born in our heart and we have seen His glory through the salvation of our own soul.

The angel of the Lord brought the Good Tiding of Christ's birth to the shepherds in the field. And with the angel was a multitude of the heavenly host praising God. Then the shepdherds rushed to town and found Mary, Joseph and the baby. They glorified and praised God for all the things they had heard and seen.

The three wise men followed the star and came to the place where Jesus was born. They worshipped the Christ child and presented unto Him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

They were celebrating Christ's Birth, weren't they?

In Christ we are free to glorify the Lord any way and any time, be it eating food or not eating, be it setting a day apart or make all days equally.

1 Corinthians 10:31... Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or WHATSOEVER ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Colossians 2:16,17... Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days: which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Romans 14:5, 6... One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

People may say it is the wrong date, a pagan "worship day" on which we are celebrating His birth. But we have to understand that if one decides to glorify God on any day of the year by celebrating Jesus coming into the flesh, His death and resurrection or even His soon coming, this means that it will include also December 24th, 25th, January 1st, March 15th etc... any date. Whatever the world uses as their days of occult celebrations or rowdy parties is not our concern. We're doing God's thing... GLORIFYING HIM!

Many days of the year are celebrated by partakers of evil and occultism, which a follower of Christ does not need to take into consideration. We are NOT of this world. We can celebrate God any day and any time of the year without looking over our shoulder to see what the evil one is celebrating, on a particular day.

I am a Bond servant of God and created to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth and will not allow myself to be influenced by what satan is whispering. With saying this, we have to consider our Brothers and Sisters, not to offend them while we worship the Lord.

We should not allow ourselves to be dictated by this world, or being pushed in a certain direction. We should consider more the move of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

I do not need to consider the wicked ones while worshiping God. Nowhere in God's word is this mentioned.

So, let these pagans do whatever pleases them, they have no message for me. I am following Christ only, and I'm set free to worship Him ANY TIME AND ANY DAY. AMEN!

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Luke 2:14

CELEBRATING CHRIST

For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
Isaiah 9:6,7

Blessed be the name of the Lord!

What an awesome season we have entered. Not only the Celebration of His Birth, but THE SEASON OF HIS SOON RETURNING. All the SIGNS are in place, it is time we close the "door" of the ARK behind us...... THE STORM IS COMING! Be sheltered in Christ.

When we think about Christ's Birth we cannot help but remember His Sacrifice for us, and His soon Return.

Therefore my message contains ALL of what Christ means to His follower.

This child just born, grew up a man
God's grace and mercy were His plan
He walked this road to bless us all
and came to save us from the fall
He spread His wings for our protection
and freed us thru His Death and Resurrection

I pray you will be blessed by the following website writing: THERE IS A REDEEMER

THE NECKLACE

*

The cheerful little girl with bouncy golden curls was almost five. Waiting with her mother at the checkout stand, she saw them, a circle of glistening white pearls in a pink foil box.

'Oh mommy please, Mommy. Can I have them? Please, Mommy, please?'

Quickly the mother checked the back of the little foil box and then looked back into the pleading blue eyes of her little girl's upturned face.

'A dollar ninety-five. That's almost $2.00. If you really want them, I'll think of some extra chores for you and in no time you can save enough money to buy them for yourself. Your birthday's only a week away and you might get another crisp dollar bill from Grandma.'

As soon as Jenny got home, she emptied her penny bank and counted out 17 pennies. After dinner, she did more than her share of chores and she went to the neighbor and asked Mrs. McJames if she could pick dandelions for ten cents. On her birthday, Grandma did give her another new dollar bill and at last she had enough money to buy the necklace.

Jenny loved her pearls. They made her feel dressed up and grown up. She wore them everywhere, Sunday school, kindergarten, even to bed. The only time she took them off was when she went swimming or had a bubble bath Mother said if they got wet, they might turn her neck green.

Jenny had a very loving daddy and every night when she was ready for bed, he would stop whatever he was doing and come upstairs to read her a story. One night as he finished the story, he asked Jenny, 'Do you love me?'

'Oh yes, daddy. You know that I love you.'

'Then give me your pearls.' 'Oh, daddy, not my pearls. But you can have Princess, the white horse from my collection, the one with the pink tail. Remember, daddy? The one you gave me. She's my very favorite.'

'That's okay, Honey, daddy loves you. Good night.' And he brushed her cheek with a kiss.

About a week later, after the story time, Jenny's daddy asked again, 'Do you love me?'

'Daddy, you know I love you.'

'Then give me your pearls.' 'Oh Daddy, not my pearls. But you can have my baby doll . The brand new one I got for my birthday. She is beautiful and you can have the yellow blanket that matches her sleeper.'

'That's okay. Sleep well. God bless you, little one. Daddy loves you.'

And as always, he brushed her cheek with a gentle kiss.

A few nights later when her daddy came in, Jenny was sitting on her bed with her legs crossed Indian style.

As he came close, he noticed her chin was trembling and one silent tear rolled down her cheek. 'What is it, Jenny? What's the matter?'

Jenny didn't say anything but lifted her little hand up to her daddy. And when she opened it, there was her little pearl necklace . With a little quiver, she finally said, 'Here, daddy; this is for you.'

With tears gathering in his own eyes, Jenny's daddy reached out with one hand to take the dime store necklace, and with the other hand he reached into his pocket and pulled out a blue velvet case with a strand of genuine pearls and gave them to Jenny.

He had them all the time. He was just waiting for her to give up the dime-store stuff so he could give her the genuine treasure. So it is, with our Heavenly Father. He is waiting for us to give up the cheap things in our lives so that he can give us beautiful treasures.

God will never take away something without giving you something better in its place.

HOW TRUE THIS IS!

In the service of the Master,
Minister Dr. Trudy Veerman

The Holy Alphabet

*

The Holy Alphabet...

Although things are not perfect
Because of trial or pain
Continue in thanksgiving
Do not begin to blame

Even when the times are hard
Fierce winds are bound to blow
God is forever able
Hold on to what you know

Imagine life without His love
Joy would cease to be

Keep thanking Him for all the things
Love imparts to thee

Move out of "Camp Complaining"
No weapon that is known
On earth can yield the power

Praise can do alone

Quit looking at the future
Redeem the time at hand
Start every day with worship
To "thank" is a command

Until we see Him coming
Victorious in the sky
We'll run the race with gratitude
Xalting God most high

Yes, there'll be good times and yes some will be bad, but...
Zion waits in glory...where none are ever sad!

Hundred years ago!

*

See what was going on some hundred years ago!

The average life expectancy was 47 years.

Only 14 percent of the homes had a bathtub (no running or hot water).

Only 8 percent of the homes had a telephone.

There were only 8,000 cars and only 144 miles of paved roads.

The maximum speed limit in most cities was 10 mph.

The tallest structure in the world was the Eiffel Tower!

The average wage in 1908 was 22 cents per hour.

The average worker made between $200 and $400 per year.

A competent accountant could expect to earn $2000 per year.

A dentist $2,500 per year, a veterinarian $1,500 and up, a mechanical engineer about $5,000 per year.

More than 95 percent of all births took place at HOME.

Ninety percent of all doctors had NO COLLEGE EDUCATION!
Instead, they attended so-called medical schools, many of which were condemned in the press and the government as "substandard."

Sugar cost four cents a pound.

Eggs were fourteen cents a dozen.

Coffee was fifteen cents a pound.

Most women only washed their hair once a month, and used Borax or egg yolks for shampoo.

Canada passed a law that prohibited poor people from entering into their country for any reason.

Five leading causes of death were:

1. Pneumonia and influenza
2. Tuberculosis
3. Diarrhea (I would have been dead long ago!)
4. Heart disease
5. Stroke

The American flag had 45 stars.

The population of LasVegas, Nevada, was only 30!!!!

Crossword puzzles, canned beer, and ice tea hadn't been invented yet.

There was no Mother's Day or Father's Day.

Two out of every ten adults couldn't read or write.

Only 6 percent of all Americans had graduated from high school.

Marijuana, heroin, and morphine were all available over the counter at the local corner drugstores. Back then pharmacists said, "Heroin clears the complexion, gives buoyancy to the mind, regulates the stomach and bowels, and is, in fact, a perfect guardian of health."

Eighteen percent of households had at least one full-time servant or domestic help.

There were about 230 reported murders in the ENTIRE U.S.A. !

Mail delivery was by horse and buggy and may take months before delivered.

Now with a click of a key on your CP keyboard your e-mail is delivered in a matter of seconds to any place in the world.

Never mind mentioning not having the "luxury" of electricity, running water and indoor toilets.

GO AND THINK ABOUT IT!

Try to imagine what it may be like in another 100 years.

IT STAGGERS THE MIND, EH ?

BE THANKFUL FOR WHAT YOU HAVE, and do not overuse or abuse the things you are so accustomed to. Do not waste non-renewable resources.

This planet is not yours but God's.

For His' sake,

Minister Dr. Trudy Veerman

God's LOVE versus man's love.

*
God's LOVE and man's love can NOT be compared. It is the difference between day and night.

For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

Mankind wouldn't give his only son for nobody, but rather takes/abducts a son from others. Man's love is to "self", rather than towards God.

But Thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. Psalm 86:15

The above Psalm proves God's love. How far reaches human compassion, grace, longsuffering, mercy and truth in comparing with that of God? Perhaps 1 inch of the length of the "road" to heaven... and how long is that? Man's love does not reach out to God, because their love is defiled and corrupt.

But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

Man's love may go as far as to the ones who show him love, but more often NOT that far even. Love towards God shows weakness, they say.

Love is revealed through forgiveness.

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12

...having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; Colossians 2:13b,14

Human nature is not forgiving, rather holding wrongs against one another and against God.

Mankind blames and curses God for everything under the sun. When the car won't start, when the house burns down, when the meals are not ready in time, when losing the lottery etc. And when there is damage from an erupted vulcano, tornado, or sunami they say: "This is an act of God."

Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war. They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah. Psalm 140:2,3

There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
Romans 3:11-14

The love of Christ:
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

O love of God, how rich and pure!

How measureless and strong!

It shall forevermore endure

The Saints' and Angels' song.

God loves us unconditionally with an everlasting love.
Mankind is the opposite.

In Christ,

Minister Dr. Trudy Veerman
