There is much controversy in regards to followers of Christ going through the Great Tribulation, part of it, or not at all.
Let us examine a few scriptures.
Jesus says that it shall be as in the days of Noah... Matthew 24:37-39
Noah went right through the "tribulation" of his time. The difference was that they who rejected God experienced this flood and perished, but Noah and his family went through the flood while hidden in the ARK. I'm sure they heard the rain storms, and the waves banging against the boat, but Noah and his family were safe.
This is why the FLOOD did not effect Noah. We must be hidden in Jesus Christ in any situation or when tribulation falls upon this planet, and not be effected by it. We must be completely cleansed and covered by the Blood of the Lamb, having the infilling of the Holy Spirit, as the 5 wise virgins in the Parable.
God will take us through. It was not easy for Noah, and it will not be easy for us either. This may be a time of purification and staying in our "closet". How else can we prove that we have kept our robes white and without spot and wrinkle?
WE also can hide in the ARK... Jesus Christ.
Could it be that the Church of God will experience some of the Tribulation to be tried as gold? Or do you think that right now God's children are perfectly ready to meet their Bridegroom anytime... anyday?
We better make sure that we ARE His Bride, not only a believer. This means sacrificing, dedicating, committing ALL of ourselves to the Lord and God's word for 100%. Completely separated from this world; being filled with the Holy Spirit, and keeping our robes without spot and wrinkle. For this reason the believer in Christ should be more concerned if his/her life is well pleasing unto God, rather than to get entangled in the Tribulation issue.
Jesus does not come for any believer, BUT HE COMES FOR HIS BRIDE !
Mark 13:24-26... But in those days, AFTER that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Matthew 24:30,31 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Jesus' coming on the clouds is when He will meet His Bride right after the Great Tribulation, as we read in the scriptures above.
This is NOT the same time as when Jesus returns to earth and put His feet on the Mount of Olives, when He will reign a thousand years with the elect! Revelation 20:4b.
Revelation 2:21,22 (shows a different view on the subject...)
And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
Although the Scripture above does not say that God will remove the believers from this earth, but that He will keep/protect them, as He did Noah.
There are many scriptures by which Christians defend their beliefs of the rapture being before the Great Tribulation or after.
The Pre and the Pro tribulation believers seem to be able to prove either side. How can that be?
I have seen web site writings which claim that anyone who beliefs in Pre-tribulation is a false teacher, who adds to the word of God and will be condemned. And I have read the same thing against Post-tribulation believers.
Such statements are very, very wrong. Our Father does not judge us on this, but He judges mankind on what they have done with Jesus Christ and if they have walked in His will and lived accordingly. Jesus says: "For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother." (Mark 3:35)
So far, the Book of Revelation holds many mysteries and I believe that NO earthling can and should claim that he/she fully understands Revelation. John couldn't comprehend these revelations and nearly fainted a few times. He could barely write down what he saw, never mind the great details revealed to him. The Apostle John was right there, and had the infilling of the Holy Spirit. So what are all the others thinking, who say they know it all?
To me, as a believer in and follower of Jesus Christ, the Book of Revelation is like a beautiful Bride with a veil covering her head and face. We just are not able to see how fair she is, what color her eyes are, and if she has curly hair.
God is keeping some secrets for the future, to show these mysteries at the time of the Marriage Feast. I believe that the Bridegroom has much to share at that glorious Feast. Don't you think so?
We, as followers of Christ must live our lives as if the Lord will return any time. This keeps us alert and ready. On the other hand we must also live with an attitude that it does not matter if we're going through the tribulation or not, if we are prepared and hidden in Christ, that is. We can be safe in the "Ark". No harm will come neigh unto us. And if the Lord deems this necessary then He will be watching over us and bringing us through. GLORY HALLELUJAH!!
Mark 13:32,33... But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
Whatever one's theory may be, they shouldn't get hung up on it. Whatever this life yet will bring, one should be anchored in Jesus and no storm will move them. Amen!
I'll go through anything with the Master at the wheel, as long as I'll reach the goal set before me.
Luke 12:40... Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
Then comes the next phase. The END of this world is not in sight yet according to Revelation Chapter 20.
After all the turmoil, Jesus will come for His Bride. There will still be the thousand years of reign on this planet by the King of kings and the resurrected elect.
At the end of the millenium satan will be loosed on the earth to deceive the nations. Then there will be the battle of Gog and Magog.
The Books will be opened, and the dead will be judged according to their works. This is the second resurrection. (The first was the resurrection of the Saints, who together with the living Saints meet Jesus in the air.)
Death and hell and those not found in the Book of Life will be cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
At the end the heavens, firmament and the earth will be rolled up and God will make a new heaven and a new earth.
It is AWESOME and incomprehensible what is awaiting them that have no part in the second death.
Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. Revelation 22:7
Psalm 85:8,9 I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for He will speak peace unto His people, and to His saints: but let them not turn again to folly. Surely His salvation is nigh them that fear Him; that glory may dwell in our land.
I bless you, the reader, with these words: "Go in the peace of God as you direct your thoughts upon your God and Maker, your Father and Savior, your King and your Brother Jesus, the Christ." AMEN!
In the service of the Lord of heaven and earth,
Minister Dr. Trudy Veerman
